Muaythai nas Escolas
Muaythai nas Escolas (“Muaythai in Schools”) is the project of FECAMTT, the Santa Catarina Traditional Muaythai Federation, to bring Muaythai to students in Santa Catarina as educational sport.
The project
According to FECAMTT’s 2025 media kit, Muaythai nas Escolas was approved under PIE/SC (Programa de Incentivo ao Esporte, Santa Catarina’s Sports Incentive Program) in the Educational Sport and Athlete Development track, with a total budget of R$ 100,000.00.
The same material lists FESPORTE (the state sports foundation), TJD-SC, CRED-SC, universities and a language school as partners.
The official project number and the fundraising letter have not yet been published on this site. Before contributing, a company should ask FECAMTT for both documents and check the project on the PIE portal.
How a company contributes
Under PIE/SC, a company that pays ICMS (state sales tax) in Santa Catarina transfers the amount to the dedicated account of an approved project and deducts it from that month’s ICMS as a presumed credit, up to a limit: 15%, 10% or 7% of the ICMS due for the period, depending on annual gross revenue (Decree 880/2025).
The contribution must first be registered in SAT, the state Finance Department’s system. It does not apply to ICMS under tax substitution, and the decree makes no provision for Simples Nacional companies (Brazil’s simplified small-business regime): always check with your accountant.
Step by step for companies
- Ask FECAMTT for the project number and the current fundraising letter.
- Register the contribution in SAT, stating the project and the amount, before transferring.
- Transfer the amount to the project’s dedicated account, not to the federation’s account.
- When calculating the month’s ICMS, claim the credit within your limit (7%, 10% or 15%).
- Keep the transfer receipt and the registration document.
About the 0.5%: that figure is the state’s annual cap for the whole program (0.5% of the previous year’s state ICMS revenue, up to R$ 75 million), not the company’s limit.
