FECAMTT 2025 calendar: state qualifier, Worlds in Italy, nationals

On January 2, 2025, FECAMTT, the Santa Catarina Traditional Muaythai Federation, chaired by Mestre Paulo Ribeiro, published Official Letter 02/25 with the year’s calendar. The document opened with the 1st State Stage and Qualifier for the World Championship in Italy, scheduled for February 8 and 9, and went on with national and international events until the end of the year. On the same day, the Mestre announced registration for the Open BC on Instagram.

What Official Letter 02/25 said

According to the calendar published by FECAMTT, dated Balneário Camboriú, January 2, 2025, the events were:

1. 1st State Stage and World Qualifier for Italy: Irineu Bornhausen Municipal Gymnasium, February 8 and 9, 2025;
2. Pan American Championship Mexico 2025: Monterrey, February 13 to 17;
3. Copa Brasil 2025: Expo Center, São Paulo, April 4 to 6;
4. Master class with Muaythai legends: Rio de Janeiro, with names such as Saenchai mentioned in the letter;
5. Brazilian Interclub Muaythai Championship 2025: Camboriú (Santa Catarina), October 18 and 19;
6. 1st WBC South American Championship and international meeting with a belt fight 2025.

The letter also planned the 2nd State Stage in May, in Balneário Camboriú, the WBC World Championship in Verona at the end of June and the South American Championship in December. These items come from this site’s reading of the document during research, but the exact dates were not rechecked against the full PDF, so they are recorded with that caveat.

The Open BC on the same day

Also on January 2, the Mestre posted the call for Open BC registration, with a link to the sign-up page on the federation’s website (Instagram). The post does not detail the sport or the dates of the 2025 edition. The history of the Taekwondo tournament that bears this name, which reached its 25th edition in 2024, is in the article about the Open BC Taekwondo Cup.

What actually happened

The calendar was delivered on its main points. The WBC Muaythai World Championship took place in Verona, Italy, at the end of June 2025, and Balneário Camboriú came home with a youth world title and an adult runner-up finish, according to the newspaper Página 3. The February qualifier was the road there. The full coverage is in the article about the Verona World Championship.

In July came the follow-up: the WBC Summer Camp in Thailand, with the Mestre as head of the Brazilian delegation, told in the article about the Summer Camp in Thailand.

As for the Brazilian Interclub, a later schedule from the federation presents the event as the 6th Brazilian Interclub Championship, with accreditation and the first weigh-in on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. In other words, the numbering and the date changed from the January letter. The final venue and the results have not been confirmed by this site.

Why publish the calendar at the start of the year

For athletes and coaches, knowing the dates in January means planning training, weigh-ins and travel. For city governments and municipal sports foundations, it is the basis for supporting the teams. And for anyone following Muaythai in Santa Catarina, it is the way to understand how a state stage in February turns into a world podium in June.

The photo illustrating this article is from a regional qualifier for the JASC, the Santa Catarina Open Games, in Pinhalzinho, in May 2026: FECAMTT did not publish its own image of the 2025 calendar.
